For more information on this topic, read What is a Project?
TRANSLATION MEMORY
A translation memory is a collection of all of your previous translations (source and target content). By default, your Smartling account will start will a blank memory, and will build up as soon as your first translation is saved by SLS. If you have a translation memory from another service that you wish to import to Smartling, you can send the TMX or resource file to your Customer Success Manager during onboarding to import and leverage in your Smartling account.
LANGUAGES
Your chosen source language and pairing target languages will be configured on your account when onboarding. If you require additional languages added to your account later on, reach out to your Smartling Customer Success Manager.
WORKFLOW
There are 4 workflow types for you to choose from:
- Translation only
- Translation + Editing
- Translation + Internal Review
- Translation + Editing + Internal Review
Translation and editing are done by Smartling Language Services. Internal Review is completed by the Translation Resource user, which you can invite to your account under Teams.
