Navigating the Help Center
Our Help Center is designed to help all users, of all experience, find and access the right information for any task or stage of their localization journey.
If you're new to Smartling, or even localization, we've got you covered in our basics section.
If you use Smartling to translate, review, or edit content in any of Smartling's translation tools, your base in the Help Center is within Translators & Reviewers.
Agency Managers, Project Managers, or anyone leading a team of translators who's main responsibility is to manage team capacity, content assignment, and invoicing can find all they need to know in Agency Managers.
Tip: Translation Resource Manager users should reference the documentation in Agency Managers for project management tasks, such as assigning content and adding team members; and reference the documentation in Translator & Reviewers for translations tasks, such as working in Smartling's translation tools.
Finally, if you are responsible for setting up a Smartling account, sending content for translation, managing translation tasks, or any other task within Smartling that hasn't already been mentioned, you are considered a Content Owner.
Developers looking to integrate with Smartling should also use this category of content to help understand how Smartling works, outside the specific integration.
Which brings us to integrating with Smartling...
There are 3 main ways to integrate; API, GDN, and with a Connector. The documentation for each can be found in their respective category.
Using Search to Find Answers
Our latest enhancement to our help center includes a more prominent search across all pages in the help center.
You can find our search on the homepage, like so;
Also, on the top navigation on all other pages within the help center.
When you type your query, you will see suggested articles in the dropdown. These suggestions match your search terms with article titles. It is important to note that not all titles include the exact terminology you may be searching for.
For this reason, you must always enter your search term by pressing enter or the magnifying glass icon. This will ensure the system will search across all articles in the help center for your searched term.
To reiterate, you may not see a suggested article in the dropdown when you type, but you will get a search result when you enter it.
For more information, read our help center platform's documentation.
Give Us Feedback
If your question isn't answered in our documentation, please let us know! At the bottom of every article is a feedback form. Our documentation team appreciates your feedback, so please be as detailed as possible in outlining how the article could be better. And if it was helpful, we also accept kudos in the form of a "Yes"! 🎉
