AI Subscription Usage Report

The AI Subscription Usage Report provides a high-level overview of your account’s AI Subscription usage, if you have purchased Smartling’s AI Subscription. Smartling's AI Subscription is a flexible prepaid plan that allows you to use multiple AI offerings under a single subscription. This report provides a comprehensive dashboard for monitoring and tracking AI Subscription consumption and spend against your total capacity.

Accessing the AI Subscription Usage Report

To access the report:

In Smartling, click the Reports drop-down menu > AI Subscription Usage. 

Info: This report is only available for accounts with an active AI Subscription, and it can be accessed only by users with an Account Owner role.

Report filters

You can apply filters to narrow the scope of the report:

  • Project Name
  • Job Name
  • Workflow Name
  • Action Date

Click the refresh button (↻) to update the data after modifying any filters. 

Report data

The report displays the following information:

  • Start Date of AI Subscription - The date your AI Subscription began
  • Currency - The currency billed for your AI Subscription
  • Total AI Subscription Amount - The total prepaid capacity purchased
  • Remaining Capacity - The amount of unused capacity remaining in your subscription
  • % Remaining Capacity - The percentage of your total subscription that remains available
  • % of spend per AI Service - A pie chart representing the percentage of spend per AI service

AI Subscription Report columns

The detailed report table includes the following columns: 

Project and job information:

  • Project Name - The name of the Smartling project where AI services were used
  • Job Name - The specific job within the project
  • Workflow Name - The workflow used to translate the content
  • Target Locale ID - The language code for the target translation language (e.g., de-DE, fr-FR)

Billing and Currency:

  • AI Subscription Amount Currency - The currency used for billing AI Subscription usage

AI Toolkit Usage:

  • Total AI Toolkit Amount - The cost charged to your AI Subscription for AI Toolkit usage
  • Total AI Toolkit Words - The total word count processed with AI Toolkit features enabled, meaning the number of words that went through a translation step where at least one AI Toolkit feature was enabled

MT Auto Select Usage:

  • Total MT Autoselect Amount - The cost charged for machine translation using Smartling Auto Select
  • Total MT Autoselect Words - The word count translated using Smartling Auto Select

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) Usage:

  • Total MT BYOK Amount - The cost charged for machine translation using your own API keys (BYOK credentials)
  • Total MT BYOK Words - The word count translated using BYOK credentials

AIHT (AI-Powered Human Translation by Smartling Language Services) Usage:

  • Total AIHT Amount - The total cost charged for AIHT
  • Total AIHT Weighted Words - The weighted word count for content processed through AIHT workflows
  • Total AIHT Words - The raw word count processed through AIHT workflows

AIT (AI Translation by Smartling Language Services) Usage:

  • Total AIT Amount - The total cost charged for AI Translation services (both Tier 1 and Tier 2 combined)
  • Total AIT Words - The total word count processed through AIT workflows (both tiers combined)
  • Total AIT Tier 1 Amount - The cost charged for AIT Tier 1 (high-resource languages, no light post-editing)
  • Total AIT Tier 1 Words - The word count processed through AIT Tier 1 workflow branches
  • Total AIT Tier 2 Amount - The cost charged for AIT Tier 2 (languages requiring light post-editing)
  • Total AIT Tier 2 Words - The word count processed through AIT Tier 2 workflow branches
     

Dashboard actions 

Click the ellipsis menu (⋮) on the top-right corner of the dashboard to:

  • Download the reports as a CSV or PDF
  • Schedule delivery to receive the report via email on a recurring basis
  • Reset filters to restore the default view
  • Set the dashboard time zone
    • Unless otherwise specified, the time zone for all tiles is set to New York, USA
