The AI Toolkit Usage Report helps you track the volume of machine translation in your account completed using AI Toolkit features.

The report highlights your total AI words: the number of words that went through a translation step where at least one feature of Smartling’s AI Toolkit is enabled.

What's counted: Every translation submission through an AI Toolkit-enabled step is recorded. If the same string is translated more than once (for example, when content is reprocessed or moved between AI Toolkit workflows), each submission is counted toward your AI Toolkit usage. This is different from the Workflow Usage Report, which counts each translation submit only once per provider, so totals between the two reports will not match for the same date range.

You can refine the report by filtering within a specific date range, project, source locale, or target locale.

Please note that translations completed through Smartling’s AI-Powered Human Translation (AIHT), AIT workflows, or other workflows managed by Smartling Language Services do not count toward your AI Toolkit word usage. 

Access the report

In Smartling, click the Reports dropdown menu > AI Usage Report

The report itemizes your AI word usage, which includes the following columns:

• Time Grouping (Day/Month/Quarter/Year)
• Project Name
• MT Provider
• AI Glossary Term Insertion Enabled (Yes / No)
• Edit Effort Estimation (Now, Language Quality Estimation) Enabled ( Yes / No)
• AI Adaptive TM Enabled (Yes / No)
• Source Locale ID
• Target Locale ID
• Total Character Count
• Total Word Count
