This article is for Account Owners and Project Managers using the Global Delivery Network.
Smartling offers a high-level, downloadable Site Traffic Report for customers using the Global Delivery Network, that compiles requests for each one of the locales set up in your project.
Only calls to HTML or XML content are considered requests, excluding redirects, or other formats such as images, .pdf, videos, etc. Ajax requests will be counted as well, assuming they return HTML or XML content types. Any request that does not return HTML or XML content is not considered a GDN request. The GDN checks the request for a 'status code', and any http request that has a '301', '302' or '304' status code is excluded.
The Global Delivery Network site traffic report does not show page views, only total localized requests. One page might require multiple requests to be fully localized. Requests are relevant for Smartling utilization/billing purposes. For page views of your localized site use a 3rd party tool such as Google Analytics.
This report counts the number of times Smartling serves requests for GDN sites.
To run the report:
- From the top menu, select Reports > Site Traffic.
- Click the Projects dropdown and select a GDN project.
- Select a date range of up to one year. The report will generate automatically once filters are updated.
- Click the Download CSV link to get a copy of the report.
