Update Job Due Dates

A Job due date is the deadline you expect the translation Job to be completed by. You can set the due date when you create the Job, or while the Job is in progress.

It is recommended to set the due date when creating the Job, as this will be included in the email notification sent to the linguists.

Due dates help Translation Resources (Translators, Editors, and Reviewers) prioritize their content. There are two types of Job due dates that can be modified:

  • Due date of a Job: The final Job due date for all workflow steps.
  • Due date of a Job by language workflow (Enterprise only): This breaks down due dates by workflow step and language.

Update the Due Date of a Job

  1. Go to the Jobs menu in the top navigation.
  2. Enter the Job Details by clicking the Job name.
  3. Click the existing date. A calendar will appear.
  4. Click on a new date in the calendar.

Your Job due date will now be updated.

Bulk-Update the Due Dates of Jobs

To bulk-update the due date of anything up to 500 Jobs:

  1. Go to the Jobs Dashboard (account-level or project-level)
  2. Select the Jobs you want to update
  3. Click Actions > Update Due Dates

Update the Due Date of a Workflow Step (New Experience)

  1. From a project, click the name of a Job. 
  2. Click the Workflows tab.
  3. Click Add Dates for Workflow Steps.
  4. All workflows for the Job are displayed. Click the due date boxes for each workflow step and select or set a due date from the calendar. 
  5. Once you input a deadline for a workflow step and click Save for one locale, you can apply the same deadline for that workflow step to all locales, by clicking Apply to all languages.

Click Delete to remove the workflow due date.

Click the back arrow beside Manage Due Dates to return to the Job.

Update Due Date of a Job by Language Workflow (Classic)

  1. Go to the Jobs menu in the top navigation.
  2. Click the Job for which you want to change the due date by language workflow.
  3. Click the gear icon next to the existing date. (If a Job hasn't been authorized yet, you will not see the gear wheel.)
  4. Click on the existing date to change the due date for each language and workflow step.
  5. Click Save. If you want to have the same due date across all languages in the Job, click Apply to all languages.
