Once you have connected your Google account and configured Google Drive folders, you will find Google Drive content in the Google Drive tab in your Smartling project.
Here you will see a list of your Google Drive files, structured as they are in your Google Drive folder.
Each content type has a unique icon and are managed separately from within the Smartling platform, allowing greater visibility and control over the translation management of each.
Navigating the Google Drive File List
The File List will include the following columns:
- Title: the title of the file or folder in Google Drive.
- Smartling Status: the file's translation status in Smartling.
- File Type: the file type as listed in Google Drive
- Last Modified: is the date the file was last modified in Google Drive.
Above the File List columns is a breadcrumb of your Google Drive folder navigation. The breadcrumb is a representation of their current position in the Google Drive hierarchy and structure for content. This breadcrumb will update as you navigate within the structure.
File Details
Click the information icon beside the file name, to access the Content Details page. Here, you can see further information about that file, including the translation status for each language. From here, you can also Request Translations or Export Translations for that specific file.
Sort
You can sort the file list by Google Drive structure (default), last modified (Drive), or title name.
Search & Filters
File Type
The File Type filter is a dropdown menu of all the files listed in your Google Drive folder.
Date Modified

File Title Search
This search box in the Google Drive File List works allows you to search by file title.

Source Keyword Search
This search box in the Google Drive File List works allows you to search by a keyword in any of the files (similar to source string search in the Stings View).
You can only search for one keyword at a time; comma-separated search is not supported.
Smartling Status
Completed: Translations were successfully delivered from Smartling to Google Drive.
Failed: The file submission failed, or the translation delivery failed. A number of reasons can result in a failed status, but some of the most common are due to invalid regex causing placeholder issues in the file.
In Progress: The file has been successfully sent to Smartling from Google Drive, and the translation process has commenced but is not yet completed. If there is a case where translations are complete, but a network issue occurs, the translations will remain in progress until the Google Drive Connector delivers the translations to Google Drive on a successful retry.
Draft: The file is in the process of being sent for a new translation request. For example, if changes were made to the source content and your Google Drive Connector is configured to send the new content automatically for translation. The file could be sitting in submission queue or sitting in Awaiting Authorization
Not Translated: The file has never been submitted for translation.
Language Filter
Filter by the dropdown list of target languages configured in Smartling for the Google Drive project.
