The Iterable Connector supports Instant Translation, allowing you to generate translations without creating a translation job or moving content through a traditional workflow.
Instant Translation works the same way across all hosted connectors. For an overview of how it works and how to configure your MT engine or LLM provider, see Instant Translation for Connectors & Plugins. This article covers Iterable-specific steps and information.
Before you begin
If you have not already set up an Iterable project in Smartling, follow the steps in Setting up the Iterable Connector. Then configure your preferred MT or LLM Profile on the MT API tab of the AI Hub's Instant MT settings (see Instant MT Settings).
Request Instant Translation in Iterable
Requesting an instant translation follows the same submission flow as a standard translation request. The only difference is that you select Request Instant Translation instead of adding the content to a new or existing job. For the standard flow, see Translating with the Iterable Connector.
- From the Iterable tab, select the assets you want to translate.
- In the Actions menu, select Request Instant Translation.
- In the Request Instant Translation dialog, confirm the assets to translate, enter an optional Request Name, and select the Target Locales.
- Click Start Translation.
Receive translations
After you click Start Translation, the dialog closes. Click View Instant Requests from the asset list page to see the status of all Instant Translation requests.
On the Instant Translation Requests page, you can filter requests, check their status, and cancel requests.
As translations are completed, they are automatically delivered to your Iterable instance.
