From the Projects drop-down in the top navigation bar of your Smartling dashboard, you can easily search for and navigate between the different Projects that you have access to.
Users with a Project Manager or Account Owner role can also access the Projects Dashboard from here, by clicking "View all projects".
Accessing a Project
To access a Project, click on the Project name.
By default, a new Project opens on the Summary page to provide a quick overview of any recent activity.
From here, you can access the other tabs to check the Jobs created in this Project, the translatable content, any visual context uploaded to the Project, as well as the Project settings.
Navigating to the same tab in a different Project
Sometimes it is helpful to quickly open a new Project, and you may want to stay on the same tab (e.g. the Settings tab) in the new Project.
To visit the current tab in a new Project:
- Open the Projects dropdown menu.
- Hold the Option key (for Mac keyboards) or the Alt key (for Windows) on your keyboard.
- Click the target Project you would like to open on the same tab.
Tip: If the current tab is unavailable in a different Project (for example, when navigating between different Project types), you will be directed to the closest available option.
Quick access: Bookmark your Project search
The Projects Dashboard allows you to filter for specific Projects, e.g. Projects with a particular label.
Follow these steps to create a quick access link, allowing you to view a pre-filtered Projects list:
- Apply the desired filters in the Projects Dashboard.
- Bookmark the URL in your browser.
- The next time you would like to view a pre-filtered Projects list, simply visit the bookmarked URL.
