As a Translation Resource user, you can view an overview of activity within a specific project on the Project Summary page. This page provides insights into newly authorized content, Issues, Jobs, and provides a workflow summary, helping you track and manage your work efficiently. Additionally, you can navigate directly to key pages, including the Strings View and the Assets menu.
How to Access the Project Summary Page
- Log in to Smartling.
- Click Projects in the top navigation and select a Project.
- This will open the Project Summary page.
Navigating the Project Summary Page
From the Project Summary page, you can:
- Monitor new activity in high-priority customer Projects
- Get a quick snapshot of available work in a specific customer Project
- Keep track of and follow up on open Issues in a Project
- Quickly access all strings in a particular workflow step
New Content
- Displays the word count of Jobs authorized in the Project.
- If you notice content that is not in a Job, we recommend reaching out to the Account Owner or Project Manager.
Jobs
- Lists In-Progress Jobs within the Project.
Open Issues
- Provides a count of source and translation issues opened in a Project.
Workflow Summary
- Allows you to check which workflow steps the content you have access to is currently in.
- By clicking on the word count, you can open the strings directly in the CAT Tool. This view displays content across all Jobs for the selected workflow step in Outside a Job Mode.
This is particularly useful if you have been assigned to multiple Jobs containing a small number of strings. For example, if you have been assigned to ten Jobs, each with two strings in the translation step, you can open all the content in the CAT Tool at once by clicking on the word count in the Workflow Summary section.
