The CAT Tool Feedback Form allows you to gather general feedback from your linguists. Editors or reviewers can provide feedback on translations saved by the human linguist in the translation step. This is for general feedback purposes only and does not replace Linguistic Quality Assurance.
This is currently available as a beta feature. To enable the CAT Tool Feedback Form in one of your workflows, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
How It Works
When a user completes their work and submits all content in a job, they will see the familiar "Job completed" message along with a new action: Share Translation Feedback.
This is a simple form with three required questions:
- How would you rate this translation? (1-5)
- Please elaborate (comment section)
- Would you like to work with this translator again? (No, Yes but different content, Yes, Yes as much as possible)
After submitting the form, the linguists are automatically redirected to their Jobs dashboard. Completing the feedback form is optional; linguists may skip it by clicking the “Cancel” or “X” buttons.
Results
The data provided in this form will be gathered and can be provided in the form of a report. This report contains:
- Feedback time
- Editor name and email
- Project
- Job
- Word count
- Overall rating
- Comments
- "Would you like to work with this translator again?"
- Translator name and email
At this time, the report will be available via email on any desired cadence (daily, weekly, etc.) When the report becomes available as an on-demand dashboard report, you will be notified.
Considerations
- This form can only be enabled in an Edit or Review-type workflow step.
- This form will not be presented to the editor if the translation was submitted by an Account Owner, Project Manager, or MT user. In other words, the “incoming translator” must be a Translation Resource, Translation Resource Manager, or Agency Account Owner.
- This form will work if the string is moved from a separate workflow into the form-enabled Edit step; however, the requirements for “incoming translator” still apply.
