The Smartling Eloqua connector allows you to translate Eloqua content with visual context. Translations are requested from within Eloqua, and translated content is automatically sent back to your Eloqua instance.
The Eloqua Connector supports translation of the following content types:
- Landing Pages
- Forms
- Lists
- Dynamic Content
Once you have connected your Eloqua account and configured the connector, you will find Eloqua content in the Eloqua tab in your Smartling project.
Navigating the Eloqua File List
The File List will include the following columns:
- Name: the title of the file or folder in Eloqua.
- Smartling Status: the file's translation status in Smartling.
- Eloqua Status: the file's translation status in Eloqua.
- Last Modified: is the date the file was last modified in Eloqua.
Above the File List columns is a breadcrumb of your Eloqua folder navigation. The breadcrumb is a representation of their current position in the Eloqua hierarchy and structure for content. This breadcrumb will update as you navigate within the structure.
File Details
Click the information icon beside the file name, to access the Content Details page. Here, you can see further information about that file, including the translation status for each language. From here, you can also Request Translations or Export Translations for that specific file.
Sort
You can sort the file list by Eloqua structure (default), title name, last modified (Eloqua), or created (Eloqua).
Search & Filters
Content Type
The Content Type filter is a dropdown menu of all the content types listed in your Eloqua Drive folder. Options include:
- Landing Pages
- Forms
- Lists
- Dynamic Content
Date Modified
Use the Date Modified filter to search for files that have been updated in Eloqua Drive with a specific date range. When you locate the files, simply select it and Request Translation.
File Title Search
This search box in the Eloqua File List works allows you to search by file title.
You can only search for one file at a time; comma-separated search is not supported.
Smartling Status
Completed: Translations were successfully delivered from Smartling to Eloqua.
Failed: The file submission failed, or the translation delivery failed. A number of reasons can result in a failed status, but some of the most common are due to invalid regex causing placeholder issues in the file.
In Progress: The file has been successfully sent to Smartling from Eloqua, and the translation process has commenced but is not yet completed. If there is a case where translations are complete, but a network issue occurs, the translations will remain in progress until the Eloqua Connector delivers the translations to Eloqua on a successful retry.
Draft: The file is in the process of being sent for a new translation request. For example, if changes were made to the source content and your Eloqua Connector is configured to send the new content automatically for translation. The file could be sitting in submission queue or sitting in Awaiting Authorization
Not Translated: The file has never been submitted for translation.
Language Filter
Filter by the dropdown list of target languages configured in Smartling for the Eloqua project.
