Enable email notifications to help stay on top of events occurring in your account. Notification settings can be customized on a per-project basis.
Ensure [email protected] is added to your list of accepted senders.
If you have received a notification from Smartling and noticed the information in the email is different from what you're seeing in the platform, it could be due to any of the following features: SmartMatch behavior, Dynamic Workflows, or Notification timing.
To enable and configure notifications for your Smartling account, please follow the below steps.
1. Access Notification Settings
In Smartling, click your name and choose Edit Profile from the dropdown.
Then select the Notifications tab
2. Configure Global Notification Settings
In the Global tab, ensure Global Notification Preferences are switched on
This setting must be enabled for any notification to be sent (excluding Issue watcher notifications)
From here, you can set notification preferences for all projects in the account. Adjustments per project can be made in the Project tab
You have the option to set a daily limit for emails received, as well as set up an alternative email address to receive notifications.
Click Save Changes to ensure updates are saved
Scroll to configure preferences for all notifications and delivery options
Changes here are saved automatically
Notifications can with switched off, or on for all notifications.
3. Configure Project Notifications
Once your Global Notification settings are switched on, you can choose which projects in your account you want to receive notifications for in the Project tab.
To receive all messages, select Global
To receive no messages, select Mute project
Notification Options
Depending on your role, you will see one or more of the following notification options:

Content waiting in a workflow

Note: Users with two roles will not receive role-specific notifications. The same notification settings apply across all roles for the same user.
Delivery options
Near real-time
Notifications are sent within minutes of the event occurring in Smartling.
Hourly
Events are batched, and a summary of occurrences is sent once per hour if any events occurred.
Daily
Events are batched, and a summary of occurrences is sent once per day if any events occurred.
