Overview
Smartling's Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Connector now supports filtering Content Builder Emails by tag. To use this feature, you must update the permissions in your SFMC package configuration.
Migration steps
To enable tag filtering, update the permissions in the Installed Package you created during the initial SFMC Connector setup:
- In Marketing Cloud, go to Setup > Apps > Installed Packages
- Find the package for Smartling.
- If you can't identify the relevant package, go to your SFMC Connector project in Smartling. Click the Settings tab > Salesforce Marketing Cloud Settings. Under Salesforce Connection, note the Client ID and match it to the package.
- If you can't identify the relevant package, go to your SFMC Connector project in Smartling. Click the Settings tab > Salesforce Marketing Cloud Settings. Under Salesforce Connection, note the Client ID and match it to the package.
- Once you have identified the relevant package in Salesforce, click into the package. In the API Integration section, click Edit.
- Under the Hub grouping, check the Read checkbox.
- Click Save.
- Return to your SFMC project in Smartling. Click the Salesforce tab. On the left side, you should see a Tags filter for Content Builder Emails. If you see the message below, verify that you've added the correct Read permission under the Hub grouping, described in step 4.
