Introduction to Integrating Smartling

Connectors & Plugins

To help automate your translations process, Smartling connects to a range of Content Management Systems, Marketing automation, e-commerce, Customer Support, Code Repository, and Design Application tools.

Smartling supports two types of connector integrations - “hosted connectors” and “extension connectors”. Hosted connectors physically hosted in Smartling, and have a similar interface integrated into the Smartling dashboard. Extension connectors are plugins/extensions for server or desktop software, which are hosted on your server and usually have a separate interface from the Smartling dashboard.
