Configure log verbosity
By default, Smartling TMS Spoke (Localization Framework) and Smartling MT Service Spoke (Dynamic Translation) log messages at the Information level. You can increase log detail by changing the logging level to Debug through the System Properties table.
- Navigate to the All menu in ServiceNow.
- In the Filter edit box, type sys_properties.list and press Enter.
- Ensure the Name field is selected next to System Properties caption.
- In the Search edit box, enter: x_smar6_smartling.logging.verbosity
- Press Enter to search.
- You will see two logging properties, one for Smartling TMS Spoke and another one for Smartling MT Service Spoke.
- Click on the property you want to modify.
- In the Value field, change the log level to your desired setting (e.g., debug).
- Click on Update button.
View Smartling Spoke logs
You can find logs by navigating to System Logs > System Log > All.
- Ensure the Source field is selected next to Log caption.
- In the Search edit box, enter: =x_smar6_smartling
- Press Enter to search.
- Click on Created field to sort logs by time.
For troubleshooting, it also makes sense to filter logs by Error Level across all sources, not just the Smartling source.
