Webflow is a website-building platform that allows users to design, build, and host responsive websites using browser-based visual editing software.
The Webflow Connector allows you to seamlessly request translations for your Webflow content within the Smartling platform. Once completed, translations are automatically delivered to your Webflow environment, enhancing efficiency and streamlining your website localization process.

Supported Content Types
Smartling's Webflow Connector currently supports the following content types:
Components from third-party libraries cannot be translated using the Webflow Connector.
Webflow Asset List
Once you have connected your Webflow account, your content will appear in the Webflow tab of your Smartling project.
For CMS Collections, the asset list includes the following columns:
- Title: the title of the asset in Webflow
- Status (Smartling): the asset's translation status in Smartling
- Draft: indicates if the asset has a draft status in Webflow
- Modified (Webflow): the date the asset was last modified in Webflow
- Published (Webflow): the date the asset was published in Webflow
For Pages, the asset list includes the following columns:
- Title: the title of the asset in Webflow
- Status (Smartling): the asset's translation status in Smartling
- Draft: indicates if the asset has a draft status in Webflow
- Created (Webflow): the date the asset was created in Webflow
- Modified (Webflow): the date the asset was last modified in Webflow
For Components, the asset list includes the following columns:
- Title: the title of the asset in Webflow
- Status (Smartling): the asset's translation status in Smartling
- Group: the group a Component belongs to
When your Webflow content is pulled into Smartling for translation, it is imported as a JSON file. Each asset listed in your asset list corresponds to a JSON file in Smartling that contains the content for that item. Once translations for an asset are completed for a locale, the connector delivers the translations back to Webflow.
The file name in Smartling follows this format:Asset Name-Content Type-Content ID.json
Asset Details
Click the information icon beside the asset name, to access the Asset Details page. Here, you can view additional information about the asset, including the translation status for each language. From this page, you can also Request Translation and Export Translations for the selected asset.
If you click on the name of a target locale from the Asset Details page, you can view the asset's content in the Strings View.
The asset id is listed under the asset name.
Search & Filters
When you navigate to the Webflow asset list via the project's Webflow tab, you can view all assets pulled in from Webflow. On the left side of the page, you will find several filters including:
Webflow Filters
- Content Type: Filter by Webflow content type.
- Search: Allows you to search by asset title. You can only search for one asset at a time; comma-separated search is not supported.
Smartling Filters

Smartling Status:
Completed - Translations were successfully delivered from Smartling to Webflow.
Failed - The asset submission failed, or the translation delivery failed.
In Progress - The asset has been successfully sent to Smartling from Webflow, and the translation process has commenced but is not yet completed.
Not Translated - The asset has never been submitted for translation.
Translated - The asset was translated, but translations have not been delivered. -
Language:
Filter by target language.
Sort
At the top right of the page, you will find several sorting options.
Please note that filtering and sorting options may vary depending on the content type. The sorting pictured above is only available for CMS Collections. Not all content types support sorting and filtering, and available options may change based on your selections.
